Shield Or, a cogwheel Sable superimposed by a paly caduceus Azure, flanked by a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert at dexter and a pine cone Vert with branch at sinister, in chief two keys Gules crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "FREGUESIA DE CANTANHEDE".
Meaning:
The keys are an attribute of St. Peter. The cogwheel is representing industry, the caduceus trade and commerce, the grapevine viticulture and the pine forestal riches.

Meaning:
The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, the local patron saint.
