It is a fairly typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a white and green background quarterly (town rank).

The arms are Or a bunch of grapes Argent on its leaves Vert and cantoned by four fig leaves Vert set two and two. Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA DE FIGUEIRÓ DOS VINHOS".
Meaning:
"Figueiró" is a cognate of "_figueira_", "fig tree", and "dos vinhos" means "of the wines", which makes these arms completely canting.

Figueiró dos Vinhos municipality had 7352 inhabitants in 2001, and it consists of 4 communes, covering 171,95 km². It is part of Leiria District, traditional province and 1999 ref. adm. region Beira Litoral, C.C.R. / NUTS II Centro, and NUTS III Pinhal Interior Norte.
