The arms are Argent a bend wavy Azure between to pairs of maize ears Or leaved Vert and tied Gules. Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA DE MOIMENTA DA BEIRA".

Moimenta da Beira municipality had 11 074 inhabitants in 2001 and consists of 16 communes covering 219,75 km². It is part of Viseu District, traditional province Beira Alta, 1999 ref. adm. region Beira Litoral, C.C.R. / NUTS II Norte, and NUTS III Douro.
