Shield Argent in base two bars wavy, a rampant bear Sable armed and tongued Gules superimposed by a bend chequered of Gules and Argent. Mural crown Argent with five visible towers (city rank) and white scroll reading "MUNICÍPIO DE ODIVELAS" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
The bend chequered might allude to the Cistercian Order.

Presentation of Odivelas

Odivelas Municipality had 144 549 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 26,14 km². It consists of four communes (some called united communes), it is part of Lisboa District, Regon (NUTS II) of Lisboa and subregion (NUTS III) of Grande Lisboa.
