It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain green field.

Shield Argent, two bars wavy Azure, each charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, between the bars an orb Gules garnished Sable flanked by a grapevine Purpure at dexter and an oak branch Vert at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILARINHO DAS CAMBAS".
Meaning:
The orb is an attribute of the Divine Saviour, the local patron saint.
