horizontal with white half moon (pointed to fly) and star
in the center.

In 1917, General Ulagay proclaimed the independence of Adygeya and
created a flag, which was horizontally divided red-green with a white
crescent andstar placed in the middle.
Red refered to the Ottoman Empire and political power, green to Islam
and religious power. The country was invaded in March 1918 by the
Bolsheviks and Ulgay fled.
