The flag and arms of Mirna (TV report) are prescribed by Statutory Decision Statutarni sklep, adopted on 7 April 2016 (text) and published on 8 April 2016 in the official gazette of the Slovene municipalities Uradno glasilo slovenski občin, No. 16.
The symbols, designed by Studio 5 Marko Kapus s.p. in cooperation with Dr. Ferdinand Šerbelj and Mag. Borut Dvornik (file), wre inaugurated on 15 April 2016, the Municipality Day, in the presence of the President of the Republic (photo).
The flag (construction sheet), a banner of the municipal arms, is in proportions 1:2, blue with the threes scallops from the arms, The flag is prescribed both in horizontal and vertical (photo) versions.
The centre of the imaginary circle circumscribing the scallops is not set in the very centre of the flag, but somewhat to the top, to make a better visual balance of the elements in the flag's field. The diameter of that imaginary circle is prescribed to be slightly smaller for the vertical than for the horizontal flag.

Coat of arms of Mirna - Image by Željko Heimer, 27 November 2016
The coat of arms of Mirna (construction sheet) is "Azure three scallops argent in pall".
This is based on the arms of former lords of Mirna, the Neydeckh
family, "Argent three scallops in bend". The silver scallops stand for fertility, wealth and fortune, while the blue background represents river Mirna.
