Seen at www.gadsdentimes.com, an article about a dedication ceremony for the new Cherokee County flag:
The ceremony site will be the Cherokee County Administration Building at 260 Cedar Bluff Road one block behind the county courthouse. During the ceremony, new county flags will be presented to county buildings, fire departments, schools, the local hospital and the county's nursing home. The ceremony is sponsored by the Cherokee County Commission and the Chamber of Commerce.

April 14, 2008. Chairman Melvyn Salter is probably the designer, as he was the
one who presented flag designs to the commission for their consideration.
