DECEMBER 7, 1999
FLAG CEREMONY: Cub Scout Pack 43, Den 2, Indian Valley School presented the Flag Ceremony. During the ceremony the current City flag was retired, and the new City flag was presented. Mayor Regalia explained the current City flag was donated to the City in 1983 by the Professional and Business Women's Club of Walnut Creek in honor of the Club's 50th anniversary. She said the new City flag, which was designed by City Clerk Barbara Rivara, incorporates the City's new logo and was created to commemorate the City's 85th anniversary of incorporation and the Year 2000. Pat Scott, Professional and Business Women's Club of Walnut Creek president, presented a check to the City in the amount of $1,000 for the purchase of the new City flagsubmitted by: Dov Gutterman, 4 July 2000
