On this site is a very large, detailed and clear image of the flag, used to make the image above. The flag is squarish (~28:37), with a thin dark yellow edge at the bottom and the remainder divided horizontally white over dark blue. Overall the local emblem, featuring a seaside landscape (with wave, beach, palm tree, pier, cliffs, lighthouse, seagull and house, in full color) in a pinkish cartouche flanked by two branches of red hibiscus (?). Lettering "City of" in darker serif capitals, above on the cartouche, "San Clemente" on a white scroll bellow, arching above the date "1928", set on the cartouche edge. Below the emblem, all across the bottom of the dark blue area, the lettering "Spanish city by the sea" in white serif capitals, set between "66" and "99" quote marks and with middots for spaces.
