12 May 2016:
"Edwardsville Township Supervisor Frank Miles presented
the Edwardsville District 7 Board of Education with an Edwardsville Township
flag at the board’s general meeting Monday night. The flag displays the
township’s new logo which had been created by EHS students Drew Brinkman, Eden
Vitoff and Jeff Schulz. Miles then spoke about the EHS students Brinkman, Vitoff
and Schulz, who had participated in a logo design contest in May of 2014 and
whose design was chosen as the township’s new logo. The design is comprised of a
golden ring, surrounding an image of the A7 Corsair, which is on display at
Township Park, with a backdrop of field-covered hills.
“The golden ring surrounding the image represents the warmth and unity
residents feel as a part of community. The field-covered hills represent the
geographical area in the Township,” Miles said. “We’ve added this logo to our
stationary, business cards, and all of our marketing materials. Our township
flag now flies over our park and our office building on Park Street in
Edwardsville.” "
