Announcement of new logo used on flag, June 2015

"The city has undergone an exciting and new face-lift! Over the last year, our staff, management and City Commission have been working to create an updated logo in order to brand the city and provide Walker with its own unique identity.
In May, we released the logo on all our city social media platforms with multiple color options for the community to make the final determination. We had almost 600 votes and with your help we were able to finalize our new look. Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback. It is important to the City that our community be involved in the process!
We will slowly be rolling out our new logo and brand over the next year. The process of changing out City signage will take time and will be done as needed.
Thank you again for all your support and patience during this process. We appreciate our residents and their commitment to always improving our community."

The flag of the city of Walker is the city seal on white. It consists of two pine trees on blue disk, surrounded by a yellow-brown rim, and the base of the disk overlain by a white bar
with the slogan FROM SOLID ROOTS - STRONG BRANCHES. The name WALKER in white sits above the bar.
