Description of the Flag
The municipality has confirmed it has no flag.
Valentin Poposki, May 2009
The flag for the city of Charleston, Missouri, consists of the town seal on a blue
field. The seal is a white circle with a grey outline. Inside is a blue silhouette of Missouri and a blue dot representing Charleston's location on the map. There is a flower on each side within the seal. The left one has four petals, the right one has five. The top of the seal reads "CHARLESTON, MO" in an arc and the bottom of the seal reads "Flower of the Bootheel". The Bootheel (pronounced Boot-Heel not Booth-Eel) is the protruding region in southeastern Missouri that looks like the heel of a boot.
