Corolla Light Resort is a vacation resort at the far northern end of North Carolina's Outer Banks, in the town of Corolla in Currituck County. The
resort is named after the historic Corolla lighthouse, which sits about a
half-mile north of the resort. Corolla Light Resort consists of more than a
hundred vacation rental homes, as well as a selection of condos, bordering
on both the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Currituck Sound to the west.
While driving past the resort's clubhouse, I noticed the Corolla Light Resort flag
flying outside with the American and North Carolina flags. The resort's flag
features their logo in light blue on a white field. The logo shows the
silhouette of the historic Corolla lighthouse amongst trees, with the words
"Corolla Light" directly below the silhouette in large, light blue letters.
Immediately beneath those words is a thick light blue line, with the words
"A RESORT VILLAGE" in smaller light blue, capital letters.
