Hillside is a township in New Jersey's Union County. The township was incorporated in 1913 from portions of Union Township, and has been a home to the Bristol-Myers Squibb pharmaceutical company and the construction of Lionel brand
model trains. It had a population of 21,404 in 2010.
I found several photographs of the Hillside Police Department's flag online (www.thehillsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/hg0506-300x198.jpg
and hillsidepolice.org/honor-guard). Based on the photographs, the flag
of the Hillside Police Department features the department's shoulder patch centered on a light blue field. Above the patch in gold, capital, sans serif letters are the words "HILLSIDE, NEW JERSEY" with the words "POLICE DEPARTMENT" in similar letters below.
