The city of Garfield Heights has informed me that it has no flag.
Valentin Poposki, 31 March 2010
This statement by the mayor appeared in the city council minutes from October
8, 2012:
"MAYOR VIC COLLOVA: Thank you, Mme. Chair. I have a brief report
tonight. I want to start off by saying that we have started--we put the footer
in. It’s at the corner of Turney Road and McCracken. It’s going to be the flag
display and welcome wall. That is going up as we speak. It’s being done by some
of our own city workers and I want everyone to know that we got donations of
$10,500.00 from local businesses to make this happen. It’s at no cost to the
city and we will be revealing the names of those very shortly and also on the
wall there will be a plaque showing the sponsors of the wall so it’s going to
look really great. It’s going to display the U.S. flag, the State flag and of
course our new city flag so we’re looking forward to that and construction has
already started."
