The Publications Supervisor of D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York, responsed to my questions regarding the college's flag.
The flag was first designed in January 2012 by Cher Ravenell, Publications Supervisor of D'Youville College. Requests had come from students in the military who wanted to hang their college flag at the bases overseas. There are many military
students on campus. The flag flies with the U.S. and Canadian flags on the front lawn. The Peace Bridge to Canada is three blocks from the college and the college has several Canadian students.
The design is basically the college logo and seal in the college colors: red and white. "Buffalo, New York"
was added as well to signify the location of the college when the flags were hanging on military bases. The lettering is in the font Gotham Bold. The proportions are 5:8. No former flags are known for the college.
