The flag of Miranda Municipality is official since July 8, 2002.
The Flag
has a dimension of 14 dm long by 1 m wide, with the following description:
In the upper part, a stripe of ORANGE color that measures 52 cm long, being
as an emblem and reflected in yellow, looking like a horizon and a twilight sky.
It is important to note that the orange color is representative of the orange
fruit, a product of the region.
In the central part, a YELLOW stripe that
measures 15 cm long, standing out in the middle as the sun, which protects and
envelops the Municipality, which together with the orange color make the ideal
complement to be reflected in the graphic concept of the flag, which is nothing
more than a prosperous sky of a sector that day by day grows towards a municipal
advance.
A strip of WHITE color, as a factor of chromatic harmony,
measuring 3 cm long, represents the simplicity and authenticity of its
inhabitants.
At the bottom, a GREEN stripe that is 3 dm long, reflecting
the soil of the region, rich lands in the development of agriculture.
Graphic Elements of the Flag:
1.- An arch of green leaves: as it is
expressed, they reflect the prosperity of the lands of the region, and that in
past times they were the sustenance of the settlers of Miranda, and that today
are still patron of commitment and sacrifice of people
2.- Montecarmelo
Chapel: historical symbol of the region; in which people love and exalt them as
a municipality of remote and ancient customs; they are advancing by leaps and
bounds with the changes in Venezuela today.
