The Council

The Yellowhead Tribal Council was formed in 1977 to work collectively on political issues to facilitate the delivery of programs and services as required to fulfill each community’s needs in a fair, equitable, and responsible manner. The YTC has four members First Nations - Alexander First Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, O'Chiese First Nation and Sunchild First Nation.

I wasn't able to find a flag for this tribal council, but in 2018 they adopted the new logo.

Each tipi pole represents one of the four Nations holding up the Council. The "X" shape formed by the poles recalls the signing of the Treaties. The blue circle represents the home fire.
