Defense Minister

I guess that previously (in 1995 Album issue) pictured flag of the minister of the Navy was surpassed with this one, presumably as the ministries of Navy and Army joined. Flag of Min. of Def. is light blue with the emblem of the Ministry in the middle. The emblem consist of the national emblem of Argentina over a golden anchor and sabre in saltire and pair of wings. The emblem at the official website and the one in Album have some minor differences — e.g. the position where the wings “meet” is in about the middle of the emblem in Album and on MinDef pages it seems it is in base of the emblem. Ratio is given in Album 2000 as 7:10.

Cockade

The cockade (escarapela) on top of every officer’s cap, from armed forces and security institutions (polices, air force, etc.). have the same design as the air force roundel, only the white circle usually has a black fimbriation.
