Presentation

This is the MTL (Movimiento Territorial Liberación) flag. It is an organisation of unemployeds and workers of Argentina. Lately, their flags could be seen at the demonstrations in Puente Pueyrredón claiming for food and homes.
Gastón Abriola, 24 Nov 2002

The MTL (Movimiento Territorial Liberación) is a group of unemployed people. They ask for jobs, by cutting the traffic of vehicles in streets and roads. These groups are known in Argentina as "piqueteros" because they do "piquetes" (the act of cutting the traffic).

About the flag

The flag of the MTL follows the design of Anarcho-Sindicalist or Libertarian flags. The flag does have the Acronym (MTL) and the complete name of the group: (Movimiento Territorial Liberación) in white letters.

In one demonstration shown on TV, plain diagonal-divided red and black flags (same design without texts) were also present.
