Manly Yacht Club (MYC) was founded in 1950 as the "Manly 14 Foot Skiff Club" and renamed in the 1960s. In the 1980s, the club moved to the site of the former Gentlemen's Baths, opened in 1892 and revamped in 1926 with an Olympic swimming pool. It is said that the Manly pool, closed in 1976, "has seen more Olympic champions in action than any other swimming centre in this country."
The burgee of MYC is horizontally divided yellow-blue, as shown on the frontpage of the MYC website (as a graphic) and proudly hoisted on the Copernicus during the Sydney to Southport race, July 2008.
