About the Flag of Volta Redonda

The flag has seven alternating yellow and white horizontal stripes, with a black canton bearing four crossed lightning bolts.

Volta Redonda is an industrial city in the southern region of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The biggest iron and steel mills in southern hemisphere are located there, as well as a lot of other industries. This explains the colors of the flag and the lightning bolts (in honor of the god Vulcan).
