Description of the flag

Canada's Bank of Montreal is also known as BMO Financial Group. BMO Financial Group is one of Canada's five largest banks, and one of the ten largest in North America. The flag of BMO Financial Group can be seen at  http://www.financialpost.com/cms/binary/4412246.jpg?size=620x465. It features the corporate logo on a blue field. The corporate logo shows the letters "BMO" in white capital letters next to the bank's red and white circular symbol. There's a thin white, horizontal line below the logo with the words "BMO Financial Group" in white sans serif letters beneath.

"The Bank of Montreal (French: Banque de Montréal), operating as BMO Financial Group and commonly shortened to BMO was established on June 23, 1817 by John Richardson and eight merchants (who) signed the Articles of Association. The bank officially began conducting business on November 3, 1817, making it Canada's oldest bank. It has acquired many other institutions throughout its corporate history, the most significant being Harris Bankcorp, of Chicago (1984) (source: https://history.bmo.com/bmo-acquires-harris-bank-chicago/), Nesbitt Thomson (1987) (source: https://history.bmo.com/bmo-nesbitt-thomson-deal/) and the latest being on July 5, 2011, when BMO announced that it had completed the acquisition of Milwaukee-based Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (M&I) (source: https://history.bmo.com/marshall-ilsley-corporation-founded-milwaukee-1847-samuel-marshall-co/). M&I merged with Harris Bank to form BMO Harris Bank N.A., part of BMO Financial Group. This integration was completed on October 8, 2012, and all branches now operate under the name BMO Harris Bank."

200th Anniversary flag

Bank of Montreal/BMO Financial Group]

I was in Montréal last week, and noted that BMO had flags displayed commemorating the bank's 200th Anniversary. Attached is an image that I took. Here is the basic logo in graphic form: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CtT_zk9WYAAmZr9.jpg
