Description of the flag

L'École nationale de police du Québec is the provincial police academy of Québec. The flag is variably toned in blue-green, with a chevron in blue over green emerging from the hoist, and the badge overlain by the motto in the centre fly.

From http://www.enpq.qc.ca/lecole/emblemes.html:

The motto refers to: knowledge ("Savoir"); integration with community values ("Être"); self-control and mastery of skills ("Agir"). The academic laurels represent the institution.

The imagery of the flag represents the goal of the School in the core of the continuum of police training.
To the left, the two chevrons symbolize the place of public security in Quebec. The blue color evokes the Quebec government's ownership of the institution as well as close ties with the college and university networks and the green denotes the origins of the school, or l’Institut de police du Québec. This green is a combination of blue symbolizing the municipal police and the green of the Sûreté du Québec.
For the main image, the flag bears the institutional emblem and the motto of the school uniform:
    Savoir, for the knowledge that must be acquired;
    Être for the self-control that must be developed;
    Agir, for mastering skills that must be achieved.

The academic laurels located in the center of the shield and the right of the flag represent the training aspect of the institution.
