"Designed and explained by Mr. Juan Bautista Cardeño Galeano in the following form: The flag speaks about the peace, the truth, and righteousness, that be forever a distinctives of the personality of the sons of Puerto Triunfo.
The flag of Puerto Triunfo will have the colours white, green and blue. Blue (Firmament) means a part of the infinite of symbol of high aspirations that impulse the life of Puerto Triunfo in their human community and in their governors, and of other part the blue of the waters that irrigates the municipality, in favor of the comunnications, the job and the tourism. The green, besides to evocate Antioquia, exalts the firm hope of this people in the future triumphs, while the fruitful job, is besides the lemon trees colour, formed in symbolic tree of the region.
The pavilion has three horizontal stripe, being the central in white colour and in double width of the two siders that are green. The blue is represented in a triangle with a base, parallel to hoist, and with a bisector with length equal to the fifth part of the length of the flag. The flag will have a length equal to the double  of the width: width, 1.5 meters, length, 3 meters."
