Introduction: Revolutionary Socialist Alliance/Fourth International
Revolutionär Sozialistischer Bund/Vierte Internationale - RSB

The Trotskysts were quite splintered in Germany, and frequently the different groups were fierce rivals. The Revolutionary Socialist Alliance/Fourth International, or RSB (Revolutionär Sozialistischer Bund/Vierte Internationale), founded in 1994, had about 300 members. It took part only in one state parliament (Landtag) election, held in Baden-Württemberg in 2001 winning 0,003% of the votes.

Description of RSB Flag

The RSB obviously had no really official party flag; however, home-made flags are shown at demonstrations. One was displayed at the 1st May 2002 demonstration in Munich: red cloth, two hands holding hammer and sickle, respectively, outlined white, beneath the inscription "RSB" also white. The whole flag was higher than wide, about 7:4, and looked quite home-made. From the party headquarters I got only a rough description of a flag, that seems to be different, though.

RSB Horizontal Flag

All the flags are obviously homemade. The variant I had reported last year was a vertical one (Knatterfahne type). On 5 Apr I saw this horizontal version.
