Plech Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a lion rampant double queued Argent, superimposed by a fess Or.
Meaning:
The pattern was displayed in the first town seal with prints since 1584, also in the 2ns and 3rd seal from the 16th and 17th century and an almanac of arms from 1767. As all images displayed the lion double queued, it was assumed that it was the Bohemian lion. Indeed the town was a dominion of Bohemia until 1402, before it was acquired by the Burgraves of Nürnberg. Otto Hupp (1925) fixed the Bohemian tinctures. The fess is a distinguishing mark.
