Shield off-centred parted per pale; the smaller part at dexter is parted per fess, above Or three chevrons Gules, beneath Argent a throughout cross Sable; at sinister, at sinister Azure a chestnut leaf Argentwith seven fingers accompanied in base by abend sinister wavy Or.
Meaning:
The chevrons are taken from the arms of the Counts of Hanau, the cross from the arms of the Abbots of Fulda. Both had several possessions in the territory of the municipality. The fingers of the chestnut leaf are representing the former municipalities of Kalbach: Eichenried, Heubach, Oberkalbach, Mittelkalbach, Niederkalbach, Uttrichshausen and Veitsteinbach. The bend wavy in base is representing Kalbach creek.
The arms were approved on 4 April 1976.
