Shield Or, a Patriarchal Cross Gules with basement of the same.
Meaning:
The cross probably was used in previous centuries as a village local sign of the village on boundary stones, and in the early 16th century and in 1679 it appeared on a local seal on top of a triplemount. Later the colours were added. They are the colours of the Counts of Katzenelnbogen, local rulers in the 14th century.
