Coat of Arms

Shield Or, an inescutcheon Gules, charged with three escutcheons Argent ordered 2:1, in orle a cap Gules scarved Sable and Gules, also known as "Little Red Riding Hood".
Meaning:
The cap is part of the "Schwälmer Tracht", a traditional costume. The inescutcheon displays the arms of the guild of painters. Here it is referring to the many painting artists in a special settlement within the municipality.
