Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a disc Argent charged with a quatrefoil Gules.
Meaning:
In 1957 Volkswagen erected a automobile factory in Altenbauna. This was the initialisation of the merger of the four municipalities Altenbauna, Altenritte, Großenritte and Kirchbauna on 1 January 1964, symbolised by the quatrefoil.
