Meaning:
Trendelburg was denoted as a city since 1304 and was ruled by the Lords of Schöneberg since 1305. The current arms are based on the oldest city seal from the late 14th century. St. Mary is the local patron saint. All later seals and images have displayed the same pattern, only varied in details, since 1605 (Siebmacher). The arms have never been approved.
