Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, an embattled tower Gules with cone roof Azure, superimposed by a bendy inescutcheon Azure semy of billets Or, charged with a lion rampant Or, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The arms are based on the arms of Kirberg, but the number of embattlements was increased from three up to seven, each one representing one of the former villages in the municipality. They are combining the local castle, which was built in 1355 by the Counts of Diez with the arms of the Counts of Nassau in the inescutcheon, as Kirberg (1388-1806 city) belonged to the counts from the early 14th until the 18th century. The only known seal of the city, from around 1500, also displayed the lion of Nassau.
The arms of Kirberg were officially approved in 1935.
