Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a boar passant Sable armed Argent, in base a barrulet wavy Azure.
Meaning:
Dietzhölztal overtook the symbols of former Ewersbach Municipality. The name means "Boar's creek". The arms are canting, displaying a boar (German: Eber) and the barrulet is representing a creek (German: Bach). The colours are those of the Princes of Nassau-Oranien, the former rulers.

Ewersbach, municipality part of Dietzhölztal [Dietzhoelztal]
Ewersbach was founded in 1937, when the former municipalities of Straßebersbach und Bergebersbach merged. The settlements existed since the 15th century and in then Neuhütte there was the first smelting metallurgical plant of the Counts of Nassau-Dillenburg, established in 1586.
