Altlandsberg Coat of Arms

Shield Gules with base Vert, charged with a bar Argent, over all issuant from base a tower Argent, topped by a stork's nest.
Meaning:
The Margraves of Brandenburg built a castle in 1230 and a nearby city in 1257. It was walled in the 14th century and mentioned as a city in 1335. The tower is symbolising the two remaining city gates, the Berlin Gate and the Strausberg Gate.

The arms were confirmed on 16 November 1992. Flag and banner are in use at least since 2005.
