Altheim (Alb) Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale; at dexter Gules a gonfanon Argent, fringed Or; at sinister parted per fess of sable over Argent; in base Vert a hunting horn Argent with cord and metal fittings Or.
Meaning:
The dexter half above is displaying the family arms of the Counts of Werdenberg, who sold the village to the Imperial City of Ulm in 1385. The sinister half above displays its city arms. The horn is reminding on the fact that Altheim had been seat of a forest superintendent of the city since 1700.

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1931. The banner was approved on 12 March 1981 by the county administration, published in GABl 351/1982.
