Spiegelberg Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per pale into gold (= yellow) and green. A sapling of oak is growing on top of a triplemount. The charges are displayed in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
In 1699 a glass kiln was built in Spiegelberg, which produced mirrors from 1705 until 1794. The court seal of 1730 displayed a mirror, which also appeared in the former arms, which had been approved in 1958. The mirror was black in golden shield and standing on a green triplemount. In 1971 the municipalities of Jux and Nassach were incorporated. The arms were abolished and in 1981 replaced by the current arms, which displayed elements of the three former arms and alluded to the landscape.

Banner and coat of arms were approved on 17 September 1958 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 447/1958. The current arms were approved on 18 February 1981 by the county administration, published in GABl 350/1982.
