Klettgau Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a fir Argent, at sinister Argent five dexter pointing piles Gules.
Meaning:
Klettgau municipality was established on 1 August 1971 by a merger of Erzingen, Grießen, Rechberg, Riedern am Sand and Weisweil, Bühl and Geißlingen joined the municipality in 1975. As all villages belonged to the Landgraviate of Klettgau, the name was chosen and the arms were based on those of the landgraviate. It displayed three piles. As the number of establishing municipalities had been five, the number of piles was changed to five. The fir is taken from the arms of Weisweil.
