Overview

The flag of canton Yacuambi, designed by Argel Suarez, a former Municipal Councillor of Yacuambi, is prescribed by an Order adopted on 11 November 1967 by the Canton Council.

The flag is composed of two horizontal stripes, yellow and green, with a sun in the center.
Yellow represents the gold resources of the canton.
Green represents the wide pastures of the canton, source of income through cattle-breeding, and the immensity of the forest.
The sun and its rays symbolize the force of the inhabitants of the canton, to the profit of the province and the country.
