Adopted: 29 November 1996. Ratio: 1:1. Rõngu is a rural municipality (vald) in Tartumaa County (maakond).

Five crossing lines refer to the location of the center of municipality on the crossroad of five highways. Red circles refer to the fruit growing. Circle is the symbol of unity and refers to the name of municipality (Estonian rõngas is ring). Colors symbolize ripeness and fertility.
