The municipality of Escúzar (773 inhabitants in 2013; 4,639 ha) is located 30 km south-west of Granada.

The flag of Escúzar, adopted on 13 September 2013 by the Municipal Council and submitted on 7 October 2013 to the Directorate General of the Local Administration, is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 14 October 2013 by the Directorate General of the Local Administration and published on 22 October 2013 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 205, p. 22 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, made of a green panel with a white triangle with the base along the hoist and the vertex at the fly's midpoint, with the municipal coat of arms proper.
Designed by the villager Mayte Aguado, the flag was inaugurated on 28 February 2014 (photos).
The coat of arms of Escúzar, adopted on 26 October 2011 by the Municipal Council and submitted on 24 November 2011 to the Directorate General of the Local Administration, is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 30 November 2011 by the Directorate General of the Local Administration and published on 16 December 2011 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 245, p. 20 (text). The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1a. Gules a tower open or masoned and port and windows sable, 1b. Azure a chalice or ensigned with a host argent, 2. Vert a granite quarry surrounded in chief by three pickaxes argent 3 and 3. All over three spikes tied or. The shield surmounted by a Marquis' coronet.
