The flag and arms of San Miguel del Valle are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 3 May 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 7 May 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 29 May 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 103, p. 8,311 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of a blue diagonal stripe of 1/3 [of the flag's hoist], the triangle at hoist white and the triangle at fly yellow.
Coat of arms: Tierced per bend sinister, 1. Argent a St. Michael [San Miguel] gules, 2. Azure, 3. Or three wheat spikes. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
