Ballias et Cie was a fishing company based in Lorient.
On 16 January 1918, Le Nouvelliste de Lorient reports the return to Lorient of the trawler Grondin, operated by Ballias & Mahé, bringing back 22 crew members of the Voltaire II, sunk on 11 January 1918 in the Bay of Biscay by a non-identified German submarine.
On 14 June 1931, the newspaper L'Ouest-Éclair mentions the trawler Otarie as operated by Ballias & Cie.
