Presentation of the Muslim Minority in Western Thrace

According to the Lausanne Peace Treaty (1923), the Muslim Minority in the Greek area of Western Thrace (c. 150,000 people) is recognized as religion minority and not an ethnic one. They speak a Turkish dialect and are Sunni Muslims, and call themselves “The Turkish of Western Thrace" (Batı Trakya Türkleri).
