Presentation of LIBRA

LIBRA was established on 21 September 2002 in Zagreb. When HSLS left the coalition with SDP in 2002, some of its members formed LIBRA (so retaining tehir ministerial positions). The party's leader is Jozo Radoš, Minister of Defence in Racan's Government (2000-2004). LIBRA merged in 2005 with HNS.

Flag of LIBRA

The flag of LIBRA is prescribed in the party's statutes as a vertical blue flag with the party's emblem in the lower half. The emblem consists of a yellow square with rounded corners containing a blue Glagolitic letter "L" and the writing "LIBRA" beneath it. The choice of the Glagolitic letter Ⰾ ("ljudije", "L") and its similarity to a pair of scales (libra, scales) could not have been coincidental, but I have found no evidence that the party ever expressed this or tried to identify itself with scales otherwise.
