Presentation of ZDS

ZDS, a regional party from the Zagorje region (north of Zagreb), was established on 5 February 1997 in Oroslavje. This party has no representative in the Parliament, but the the State Election Committee and the Parliamentary Constitutional Committee decided that it is to be counted as a parliamentary party. Namely, the party ran for election in 2004 in a joint list with HSP and they together won one seat that is occupied by a non-party representative.

Flag of ZDS

The flag of HRDS, adopted in 2002, is prescribed in the party's statutes (text) as horizontally divided red-white-blue by wavy lines and with the party's emblem in the middle. The emblem consists of the letters "ZDS" in shades of green and of two red squares. The wavy lines are said in the statutes to represent the low hills of the Zagorje region.
