The symbols of Strizivojna are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu, zastavi i danu Općine Strizivojna, adopred on 25 June 1997 by the Municipality Assembly and published the same year in the Municipality official gazette Službeni glasnik Općine Strizivojna. This is repeated in Articles 5 (coat of arms) and 6 (flag) of the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Strizivojna, adopted on 14 March 2013 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 25 March 2013 in Službeni glasnik Općine Strizivojna, No. 2.
The symbols were approved on 29 May 1998 by the Ministry of Administration.

The flag is described in Article 10 of the Decision as follows:

The flag of the municipality of Strizivojna is of rectangular shape. The ratio of width to length is 1:2 m. The flag is blue and in its centre is the coat of arms.

The flag hoisted on the Municipality Hall (photo) has the arms rotated for vertical hoisting, which is not unusual in Croatia, but not common either.
