Presentation of Fažana

The municipality of Fažana (Italian, Fasana; 3,050 inhabitants in 2011) is located north-west of Pula, just outside it, on the coast across the channel from the famous Brijuni Islands resort. The municipality of Fažana actually includes the Brijuni Islands.

Flag of Fažana

The symbols of Fažana are prescribed by the Statutory Decision Statutarna odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Fažana, adopted on 23 February 2004 by the Municipality Council and published on 5 March 2004 in the County official gazette Službene novine list Istarske županije, No. 3.

The symbols, designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, were approved on 24 November 2003 by the "Ministry of Justice and Local Government of the Republic of Croatia, Commission for the Approval of Coat of Arms and Flag" (full administrative reference to the approval is given in the Preamble of the Statutory Decision).

The flag is in proportions 1:2, dark blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
The flag is also used with the elements of the ceremonial flag in it: inscription above the arms and branches below (photo, photo, photo).
