The municipality of Vođinci (2,113 inhabitants in 2001) is located some 20 km south-west of Vukovar. The municipality was formed in 1997 by separation from the municipality of Stari Mikanovci.
The symbols of Vođinci are described in the Municipal Statutes Statut Općine Vođinci, adopted on 29 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 13 October 2009 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Vukovarsko-srijemske županije, No. 15.
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company from Rijeka.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
